Since the design plans were acquired by CSI, they have gone through the WA-16 and WA-17 prototypes, and finally, the WA-18 which is scheduled to go into general production in a couple of years. Currently, however, the only way to (legally) acquire this ship is to a) have the New Republic give you one (extremely unlikely :) b) be a Chthux and know the people at CSI or c) be one of CSI's ship testers. It's not likely that you'll see one of these ships around. The really interesting thing about this ship is the coating on it's hull. Derived from a mineral found on Chthux, this substance gives the Wanderer a little more protection against energy blasts than a normal hull would give. The findings for this coating were buried when the Chthux got wind of the New Order, and are just now resurfacing in the hands of CSI. However, if the coating is hit by a physical object, the benefit of the coating is disrupted in that area until repaired.
