SHOE.SHP Star Wars : The Roleplaying Game Second Edition Starship Statistics (This started out as a joke for several friends who wanted to have "The Shoe" from `Return of the Jedi' as their personal starship. This is the infamous shoe which is seen in the space battle over Endor at which most people have never seen, but some who say they know where it is. I personally have yet to find it, but do search every time I watch ROTJ. These stats are entirely MY creation and I have not confirmed this with anyone associated with Lucasfilm or West End Games. I'm also not sure what the scale is of this spaceship, but I thought the size of a medium freighter would do.) HISTORY: Kan Relston was a young designer who started out at Kaut Drive Yards' facilities with great enthiuasm. Originally he worked on the designs of small freighters and snubfighters. He was also one of the first designers to work under Kira Wessex on the Star Destroyer-class of warships. He shortly left before the Star Destroyer was completed to take on his own line of freighter manufacturing, secretly for the Alliance. But things took a turn for the worst. Kan lost everything when one of his personal transports full of replacement parts hyperspaced into an assault led by the Empire on a secret Rebel base. His factory was soon raided, only to find it had been a front all along. His whereabouts unknown to the Empire. Secretly, he had been working on a picket cruiser that could aid in the defense of planetary bases. His answer, the Tenni 2000 - large enough to be a freighter, but bristling with enough armamanents to give any small Imperial vessel a run for it's money. Everyone was impressed with the "Keds" performance in outsmarting the customs vessels, so Ackbar personally asked for it to help in the assault on the second Death Star, knowing that he needed every spare fighter they could get. Kan and his design team selected a group of fighters to help with every task of running the ship during battle conditions. Kan took the pilot's position. The first part of the battle was a record for any of the larger Rebel fighters. They were able to take out 21 TIE fighters and 10 TIE Interceptors before the shield generator was destroyed on the surface. When General Calrissian entered the superstructure to destroy the Death Star, Kan remained to help defend the Rebel Fleet from the onslaught of the Star Destroyers he helped to design. In a bold manuever, he took his ship on a collision course with one of the Star Destroyers, attempting to knock out it's shield generators and blow up the bridge. Unfortunately, the Imperial captain still retained his tractor beam and held the "Keds" while its fighters picked off pieces of his ship until it was destroyed. Kan Relston is remembered as one of the unsung heroes of the Rebellion. Unfortunately, he erased all design specs of his last ship, hoping that if he and the Rebellion were unsuccessful, his plans would not fall into the hands of the Empire.
