     As fast as an A-Wing, and slightly less well armored, the
Scand is a light and sleek ship, with a very low profile.  With
it's rather powerful weapon systems, the Scand is capable of
destroying many more powerful craft, and it has found some
acceptance among some of the more talented pilots in the Galaxy. 
However, it's extremely responsive controls and powerful engines
have lead to a number of accidents among those flying the ship,
leading to the eventual discontinuation of the Scand line by
Nikurath-Majur, in favor of slightly slower and heavier models. 
Only a few thousand of these craft were ever made, and their
price is rising steadily among collectors.
