The entire vessel is designed for maximum stealth and features a sensor absorbent hull equipped with a highly sophisticated chameleon system. The designers has avoided the installation of conventional energy weapons because they are notoriously difficult to shield and tend to show up on enemy sensors. Instead, one concussion missile launcher was installed. Put together provides this a +3D difficulty to sensor rolls for the purposes of detection by either visual or electronic method. Its sublight drive is rigged for low emission output and has a special version of Cracken's Ion Baffles which can be used without endangering the engine when running in "silent mode". In game terms: The ship has +2D to sensor difficulties to detect at a range of 10 units. While the baffles are operational, maneuverability is reduced by -2D (if it goes below 0D the pilot's skill is reduced). When not running in "silent mode", the space speed is doubled, from 2 to 4. The sensors are normally used on passive mode only since this decreases the chance of detection (+5 to sensor difficulty). A large numbers of batteries were installed to increase the time, from five minuts to twenty minuts, a ship could be "running silent" with all of its major system, except life-support switched of, thereby gaining a +15 modifier to sensor difficulty. The Midget Boat is released in the vicinity of the target system and makes several micro-jumps to get in-system. To get close to the target various methods can be used; 1. Attach the ship to a small asteroid and guide it to pass near the target. 2. Try to get close to the target under your own power. 3. Attach the ship to an enemy ship bound for the target area. It has several ways to attach itself to a ship, and can even be transported through hyperspace attached externally to an enemy vessels hull. The main armament is its two side-mounted explosive charges which must be laid close to the target or attached to the hull of the target vessel. Since ships who are not in combat do not have their energy shields up and in some cases, not even the particle shields, an attack of this type have a good chance of making large damage to the enemy. Two Sensor Decoys are carried externally under the ship and they adds +2D to the difficulty to determine which sensor reading is the ship. The Midget Boat also have one crewmember who is trained to use a special EVA vaccum pod to manually disarm mines or other security systems which can be found around high-security installations.
