The Crenel tends to fly within the range of planetary cannons, supplementing both surface mounted anti-orbital artillery and atmospheric defence craft. Usually, these ships tend to remain grounded most of the time, being scrambled only when hostile craft appear in system. However, since the Yaeger Nation is at war, these ships are in constant patrol, grounding for refueling and crew changes at semi-random intervals. Relatively few Crenel class ships are in current service, as much of Yaeger Yard's production has been dedicated to multi- purpose craft, and military attack craft, but because of the great age of the Monitor class, just about every Yaeger held planet has a Monitor or two in patrol, though the age and combat effectiveness of the craft varies greatly. Note: The cost listed is in a theoretical situation, where the Yaeger ships are available without restriction. In most scenarios, they should not be available at all, or at incredibly inflated prices.
