Designed by the same team that designed the Executor SSD and looking like a small copy of it, it has been nicknamed "Axe" after the weapon of the ritual execution performed in the Hamlyn-system. Disliked by most Admirals in the beginning for being to small and taking resources from the building of ISDs, but liked by those who have commanded one of these vessels during a fight. In battle simulations including four of the Aegis SC and two ISD the Aegis cruisers won 90% of all engagements (60% losing two and 30% losing one), this means that two of the Aegis SC (costing as much as one ISD-II) has better price/performance rating than the ISDs. It's main deficiency is the inability to carry troops in large numbers for surface assault, but it has excellent space-combat abilities. Cost: Not available for sale
