ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm the guy who made this page. I suppose, since this is "About Me," I should have something about myself here. I'm a junior at the University of Idaho. Currently I am pursuing a double major in Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering. Yes, that's quite a bit. We're talking 207 credits, and it'll take somewhere 5.5 to 6 years to get done with both of them. Of course, if I just went with Mechanical Engineering I could get done in 3.5 years, but what fun would that be? Back on track here... Last year I was fairly active in school. I was the President of Borah Hall, helping to get the hall to be recognized as one of the best at the U of I. I slacked off in my classes, and managed to get all As. I wound up getting a job second semester, I decided that having less that $100 to my name was a bad thing. I was hired at Wal*Mart, in the Men's department. I eventually got trained as a cashier, so now I can work in either place.

In the spring, I decided to get more involved with activities at the University. So I ran for Vice President of the Residence Hall Association. That is my current project, currently mostly pertaining to the website of that organization.

Last summer was an interesting one for me. While most people were so excited about finals being over, and leaving, I was waiting for classes to start. I started summer school the Monday after spring classes got over, with Econ 201 (Macroeconomics) and then later in the summer CS 112 (C++). The whole summer I also worked. But now school is back in session for everyone, and I'm as busy as ever. I cut my work hours down, picking up my VP job and ever more classes. I'm taking 16 credits, 5 hours in a row Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with a lab on Tuesday. I've got Thermodynamics, Engineering Fluids, Mechanics of Materials, Principles of Metallurgy I, and Materials Energy and Transport Phenomena. I'm getting into the hardcore engineering stuff now.

Last year I started playing Warhammer 40K. I'd said that I wouldn't do it, because it's too expensive. But I watched one of my friends play a game, and wound up leaving with a Space Marines Devastator Squad. And thus the evil began. I quickly amasses around 4500 points of Space Marines, the Grape Marines (due to their lovely purple color). At the beginning of the summer, I decided that I wanted to try to play Necrons, as the thought of an army of robots marching across the battlefield annihilating all in their path appealed to me. After going 0-9 with them, I decided to let them go back into stasis until Games Workshop supports the army more. Now, I've always liked the idea of a column of tanks trundling along, so the Armored Company sounded right. I'm slowly going to build one of those, with an emphasis of Basilisk artillery pieces and will definitely have a Hydra Flak tank in it, since that model is so cool looking.

Well, I've run out of things to write. I don't know why anyone would have read this, but perhaps some will...

Want to find out more about me? Here's my resumé.

Here's something interesting... according to theSpark.com's Personality Test I'm a Dreamer (Submissive Introvert Abstract Feeler). They say this about Dreamers:
Like just 12% of the population you are a DREAMER (SIAF)--reserved and imaginative. You are basically the shy, silent type. You don't have much interest in facts and figures or most of what's going on around you, but the internal worlds you build for yourself are rich and complex.
Luckily, your creativity and strong heart mean you have a deep personality evident to anyone who gets to know you. It's just that not many people do, because most everyone thinks you're a loser. Talk to yourself less, other people more, little shaver.

Interesting, huh? Sound like me? Yeah, didn't think so. Anyways, I got this...
